Where is Øyriket?
Welcome to an archipelago of adventures to explore!
Oyriket (or Øyriket as we call it) is an archipelago of islands
situated right outside Tromsø. From here, you can look over the sea and the weather fronts passing by over the mountains, or the northern lights dancing over the sky in totally silence.
These island were the heart of coastal fisheries, whaling, coast culture, and not at least tourism back in the late 1800, where people travelled to explore the archipelago, hunt and ascend the mountains lining across Øyriket
This maze of small islands, with white beaches, mountains reaching over the horizon, bird colonies and fantastic fishing grounds, gives an archipelago of possibilities to explore. If you want to hike, ski, sleep in the wilderness, enjoy total silence, eat homemade local food -or simply shape an adventure of your own, we got you covered!
